Old Chang Kee's FY08 net profit slips 15.5%

Since I love food & will never tire of OCK, just had to include this. Revenue actually increased, so need to figure out the actual reasons for the dip in net profit.

Old Chang Kee's FY08 net profit slips 15.5%

Old Chang Kee Ltd on Wednesday reported net profit for the year ended Dec 31, 2008 sliped 15.5 per cent to S$2.23 million.

Revenue for the year was however up 19.5 per cent at S$48.44 million due to better sales from outlets, including the additional 13 new outlets in FY2008.

Its signature curry puff remained the major contributor to revenue, accounting for about 34.8 per cent of the revenue in FY2008 as compared to about 33.8 per cent in FY2007.

It is proposing a first and final dividend of 0.5 cents per ordinary share.
